The Challenge
Northeast Community Church was a brand new congregation when we first started working with them back in September 2007. Their biggest challenge was informing Fairfield County residents about who they were and what made them different from other churches, in order to increase Sunday service attendance. Their goal was to grow their original membership of 15 to 1,000 within five years. They also wanted to drive traffic to their website which they felt was very informative and compelling.
The Resource
Over a course of multiple Client Needs Analyses and even a Marketing Strategy Model, we were able to put together a campaign that focused on getting Northeast Community Church’s name out into the community through our on-air, on-line, and on-site capabilities.
The Idea
On-site, the campaign centered around getting Northeast Community Church directly involved within the community as a sponsor of our Children’s Art Playground at the SoNo Arts Festival. On-air, we used their generic commercial with tags, changing monthly, inviting our listeners to attend one of their services. On-line, we used our custom channel Fairfield County Living guide where NECC provided tips on motivating and uplifting people’s spirits in the tough economic times. We also used rotating banner ads, featured advertiser listing, and streaming commercials to drive traffic to their website. Listen to the commercial.
The Results
Northeast Community Church has been advertising continuously with The Coast Fox Combo since Fall 2007, and has grown their parishioners from 15 to close to 250 --- on track to reach their goal of 1,000 by 2012. They also realized a 15% increase in their website traffic, with 10% of that coming directly from our stations’ websites.
