In February of 2009, State Farm announced they would not be renewing homeowners insurance policies in the state of Florida. Frank Russo of Florida Insurance Specialists knew exactly what he wanted to happen: he wanted all of those displaced policy holders to become his clients!

WDBO Account Executive David Russell brought Frank into Cox Radio Orlando to conduct a Marketing Strategy Model session to really focus in on what differentiates Florida Insurance Specialists.
The Idea
An on-air and online campaign highlighting Florida Insurance Specialists’ strong suits , their local ownership and recognizable selection of products, directed consumers to a website specifically set up to cater to former State Farm policy holders, dropped by thefarm.com.
The Results
Florida Insurance Specialists experienced their biggest month ever as a company following the campaign. They also were able to increase their sales year over year in a down economy.
