Summer is the peak selling period for 7-Eleven’s popular Slurpee drink. 7-Eleven wanted to drive traffic to the stores, rebuild the Slurpee brand, give back to loyal customer and connect with core consumers by integrating social networking into promotions.

The Idea
7-Eleven was already involved with the Transformers 2 movie. The KPHW team partnered the client with the Regal Theaters to buy out an entire theater for the premiere. KPHW promoted van stops at 7-Elevens around town where listeners could buy three Slurpees and get a free ticket to the movie.
The Results
Edna continues… “Because of this promotion, we are able to continue building our followers on Twitter and use that as an additional medium to communicate with our customers. We would certainly love to make this an annual summer event – all customers need to do is follow us on 808Slurpee!”
