Piedmont Heart Institute increased their heart screenings over 50% year to year.


The Challenge
To position Piedmont Heart Institute as the leader in Heart Health in Atlanta and generate heart screenings for the state of the art Heart Scan that is exclusive to Piedmont Hospital.
The Resource
Internal Brainstorming to explore how we might increase the # of screenings during the Fall months and help them brand themselves as the leader in heart care.
The Idea
To create an integrated campaign on News/Talk 750 WSB that educated Atlantans about the risks of heart disease and position Piedmont Heart Institute as the leader in Heart Health in Atlanta. We created a high frequency spots schedule and a series of :60 vignettes about living a heart healthy lifestyle, warning signs for heart disease, ways to improve your physical activity, eating habits and stress management. These vignettes were voiced by Neal Boortz, syndicated talk show host. In addition, we created a “Healthy Heart” webinar with PHI doctors that could be viewed on a custom channel on wsbradio.com.
The Results
The campaign ran for 4 weeks on News/Talk 750 and their website hits were up over 200%. Their screenings were up over 50% year to year. This has led to a renewal in the Spring and Fall of 2009. We are currently working on ideas for the Piedmont Cancer Center and another integrated program for 2010.
