Norwalk, Conn. – March 5, 2010 – Cox Media Group (CMG) announced today that legendary radio personality Peter Bush will host weekday mornings on The New 96.7 THE COAST (WCTZ-FM) beginning March 11. Mr. Bush, a New Canaan native, brings over 30 years of experience in the New York and Fairfield County radio markets with him to the station.

Peter Bush began his radio career on-air at WINE-AM in Danbury and has been heard on the air in Connecticut on WAVZ-AM, WKCI-FM, WKHL-FM (now WCTZ-FM) and WEFX-FM (now WFOX-FM). In the early 1980s, Mr. Bush was the last on-air personality hired at WABC-AM before they switched to a talk radio format after a long run as the No. 1 radio station in the country. Peter followed his stint at WABC-AM with three years at WPLJ-FM in New York City.

Most recently, Peter Bush was heard on WEBE 108 in Bridgeport, where he was the No. 1 rated afternoon drive radio host for fourteen years running. Mr. Bush left WEBE 108 in 2008 to pursue opportunities within the automobile racing industry, which is one of his passions.

Mr. Salant launched KC101 on the air with Peter Bush in 1979. His experiences range from programming positions at stations including WKCI-FM, WYNY-FM, and WWYZ-FM in Connecticut and New York City to consulting for hundreds of radio stations across the country.

Cox Media Group Stamford/Norwalk Operations Manager Bob Bayne added, “I’m very excited that these two outstanding radio talents will be joining our team. We look forward to great success as, with their help, everyone will be making the switch to The New 96.7 THE COAST.”
